Facebook Is a Big Player in Thailand, but Line Maintains a Presence As in almost every country, Facebook is a dominant player in Thailand's social media landscape. eMarketer expects the platform's penetration rate will near 70% of internet users in the country this year. However, Thailand is one of a handful of markets in which mobile messaging app Line has a sizeable user base, and the company has indicated that it will not cede market share without a fight.
